LED Light Boxes
Tracing & Copy Light Box
Built for: Art & stationery wholesale buyers — art-supply distributors, wholesalers, schools and studios needing an even-lit drawing and tracing pad
A tracing and copy light box is a perfectly even-lit surface for drawing, animation, tattoo transfer and teaching. Built on the same LED light-panel platform as our light boxes, it gives artists and students a low-heat, dust-free, edge-to-edge glow with no hot spots and no visible dots.
The even light comes from an in-house light-guide: a Japan Mitsubishi acrylic panel engraved with a precise laser-dot pattern that scatters 2835 SMD LEDs uniformly from edge to face, rated for a long service life. Panels are assembled in a clean room so no speck of dust shows under the work.
From one platform we scale the form factor — a slim A4/A3 desktop pad, a large A2/A1 format for pattern and design work, and a USB 5V portable pad that runs from a laptop or power bank. A buyer can order a whole classroom or studio set with consistent brightness.

Development story
From 0 to bestseller: our LED tracing pad
The gap we saw
Artists, tattoo artists, animators and teachers needed a low-heat, perfectly even-lit surface to trace and copy on — but most panels on the market had bright spots, dim edges, or visible dust trapped inside the light guide.
We already ran an LED light-panel platform for our light boxes, so we asked a simple question: could we tune that same platform for a desk?
Engineering the even light, in-house
The heart of an even panel is the light-guide (LGP). We brought LGP patterning in-house: a laser-dotted Japan Mitsubishi acrylic panel, engraved with a precise dot pattern that scatters the LED light uniformly from edge to face. A 2mm acrylic cover sits over a 5mm LGP, lit by 2835 SMD LEDs at a 9000K cool-white tone, rated for a 50,000-hour life. The result is a surface with no hot spots and no visible dots — the kind of even glow that disappears when you are working.
The pad up close
A tracing pad is judged on the surface, so here is ours from every angle we check before a unit ships — the lit face, the rear housing and the bench test.
A cleanroom, because dust shows
On a tracing pad, any speck of dust inside the LGP sits right under the work and shows up as a dark spot. So we assemble the panels in a dedicated clean room. It is a small detail, but it is the difference between a panel that looks clean on day one and one that stays clean — and it is why we control the whole build instead of buying finished modules.
One platform, many sizes
From a single engineered platform we scaled the form factor: a slim A4/A3 desktop pad (7–8.5mm thick), a large A2/A1 format for pattern and design work, and a USB 5V portable pad that runs from a laptop or power bank. Same light engine, same LGP approach, different sheet sizes — so a buyer can order a whole classroom or studio set with consistent brightness.
From prototype to bestseller
We did not spec this for a single customer — we built the full size range and kept it in stock, so a studio, school or decor house could order the size they needed on a low MOQ. That is what turned a workshop experiment into a core, repeatedly re-ordered line. It is also why we tell the story here: it is a real example of how we develop a product end to end, not just assemble someone else’s module.
